For fire departments

Burn permits online today. Incident reporting ready for 2027.

Residents get a burn permit in about a minute. Your department sees every burn on a map, declares a ban in one click, and keeps the fee. And for the 2027 Standard Incident Report, we are building the tool that gets your filing done and your numbers to council.

Built by a team that has worked with fire departments for over a decade, combined.

Thousands of permits a year · Departments across Canada and the United States · Live since 2020

What we make

  • LIVE

    FirePermit.Online

Residents apply and pay online, any hour, and staff stop taking permit calls. Every burn is on your map before the smoke call comes in, and a burn ban reaches every permit holder by text and email in one click. Thousands of permits a year for departments across Canada and the United States since 2020, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in permit revenue that used to go uncollected. Live in days, configured to your by-law.

  • IN DEVELOPMENT

    Incident reporting

Every Ontario department files on the new Standard Incident Report from 1 January 2027. We are building the tool that makes the quarterly filing a formality and gives you the numbers council asks for at budget time, without the spreadsheet weekend. No migration and no new system to approve: it sits beside whatever you file with now.

Standard Incident Reporting

The 2027 Standard Incident Report is coming. Here is what it means for you.

On 1 January 2027 every Ontario department starts filing on the first new Standard Incident Report since 2009: sixty-three new fields, every response and property code renumbered, and a new section for carbon monoxide. The first quarterly filing is due 30 April 2027.

The Fire Marshal’s own filing route remains available and free, and a department that files that way today can keep doing so. Plenty of departments will not need to buy anything, and if that is you, we will say so on the call.

If you would rather the filing took care of itself, and the same records answered council’s questions at budget time, that is what we are building. It will be ready for the 2027 filing year, and nothing about it is a condition of filing.

Or look up one of your own codes in the 2027 code explorer — free, no sign-up.
